Hello everyone!

I would like to gather information or advises on what must be done next after receiving the visa ( they are minor children and it is my husband, their stepdad who is their petitioner), here is what I know that must be done prior to entering the US:

- Peer counselling (CFO )

- Pay the free for the Greencard (Elis)

Question:

I assume , me or my husband ( stepdad and petitioner) can pay this online?

How soon must we pay this? Is it ok paying for the greencard 2 weeks before their intended departure?

How soon will they be able to get the greencard and SSN upon entry?

- What is expected at the airport (Departure ) NAIA? Documents that might be asked and et. al ( since they are minor)

- What about at the port of Entry, what's expected? Documents that may be asked? any questions too that they should be able to answer?

- Upon arriving in the US, are there still paper works that needs to be done?

Thank you everyone, all advises and info are appreciated!

Dhel

You did not specify how old they are.

1. For PDOS at CFO here's the link -http://www.cfo.gov.ph/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1347:for-filipinos-leaving-the-country-with-an-immigrant-visa&catid=139

2. For paying GC at USCIS Ellis, the amount is US165

3. At NAIA, they will pay the travel tax

4. at the POE, IO will get the Visa packet and will be asked basic questions like who is the petitioner, relation, address, etc.

5. No more paper works, just wait for the SSN (if you checked the box on DS260)

These are what my son went through last year and his POE was LAX.
