Thanks everyone for the welcome. I joined this forum because i felt I could use the support...has anyone found this process to be emotionally draining? I am finding myself crying weekly because i just want to be with my husband and start life with him and start a family with him. Why does this process have to drag on so ridiculously long? It's defeating. But on the positive side, we're onto the last step and sure hope we get an interview date this week.

Hi,

Have a quick question: We got CC on 25 May 2015; our interview location is Hong Kong. We've not yet heard about the interview schedule.

Does anyone have any experience with the time between CC and interview in Hong Kong?

Thanks in advance!

the end of our NVC process was really rough and wore me down.... my youngest got her CC 04/30, after a paperwork hiccup I got mine 05/08, and then they dragged their feet reviewing the DS260 for my 9 y/o daughter!! **seesh** towards the end, some calls to NVC left me feeling defeated and in tears

BUT...... being **this** close to the end is exhilarating :) It's finally here!! Now if we could just get this interview date and get through the end game, we'll be laughing! :)

Keep your chin up :) We're almost there!!

Okay phew not a denial. just a delay he just needs to get his BC. I pray it won;t be a major undertaking. And yes if he obtains it and its what the embassy wants he will get the Visa. So hang on. I hope he gets it fast.

Thanks for the reply, as always! Your words really ease my mind. He says it will be another week before he can get a certified copy that's in English. But he's already had to fill out his address for them to send his passport, so that is a good sign, Yay!!

Yes, this whole process is really draining, I can definitely feel it. But like you, I also joined for the emotional support because this forum is filled with people who understand what we are going through. It's hard to talk with real life friends because they don't understand how it feels. They may empathize, but haven't been in our shoes. So, I hope you find peace of mind through the wonderful VJers here, as I have!

Ntwiga,

I couldn't respond to you on June thread since its already closed. Yes my wife has three days to go and we are excited/anxious etc. I am not going to travel since I have travelled four times in less than a year and a half so I will wait until she is done and will definitely update you guys on Wednesday night! Yours also is just less than three weeks away. Lets keep our fingers closed and ask for blessings.

Matuiza,

Thank you the response. My Prayers and best wishes are with you guys. God is ever so faithful. Your family will be complete soon, cant wait to celebrate the good news with you. It's been a tedious journey but worth it. Lets keep the faith.

My family's cases were completed at May 8th but the email was only received on May 15th, and yet they still have no interview date at the American embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I don't know how long this would take. :(
