Just curious for some of your stories about when you found out you were approved and your reaction. I have a long wait ahead for my nOA2, but I imagine I will be teaching my fifth graders when i receive my text message. I will probably faint in front of my class. lol. I am curious from you who have been through this, your reaction to your notification. Thanks.

I had expected at least 5 months according to vj statistics at the time.

It was less than a month and 5am whilst I was skyping my now husband, he got the text about an update and I checked it and then I cried for at least an hour because it was quick and overwhelming and nothing quiet prepares you for that, knowing that your whole life is about to change.

Instead of at least 6-7 months to prepare, I had three and then one week after my interview.

It's not as amazing night as some people say being approved that quick but it's still amazing!

My Name is Daisy, I am British, I say things bluntly and to the point.

I was working a 12 hour shift as Comms Manager in ambulance control. Given the time difference, it was the middle of my night. Very busy stressful night, off the charts busy. Really all I had time to do was read the email my now husband sent, send him back a quick note of Yay!, and move on.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Wow, amazing stories. I can't wait to experience that moment. When it happens, I will try to call Jane, and knowing the Philippines, the connection will be bad.

I was on VJ reading the forums..lol I had just checked USCIS an hour earlier so I was really shocked when the text came! I jumped up and screamed and said Thank you God!!! I tried to call my fiancé and all circuits were busy for 5minutes straight lol. We were both crying on the phone! Good luck and God Bless your journey!

Although it is exciting to get approved by USCIS (NOA2), that is not the "official" approval for the visa. For me, NOA2 means I have all the documents required for the K1 petition. The real excitment is when the interview at the embassy gets approved. Good luck to all!

The excitement for me has been to get past the K1 petition which I think was the forum question. I am certain that once we are approved by the embassy. That too will be another reason to Thank God! Every approval during each phase of the process has a significant meaning and one is not more important then the other. You cant move forward with anything until K1 is approved.. NVC.. Interview.. AOS... and so on but one approval brings you closer to the next. They all are very important and I don't see how one is more important then the next. I hope you have a smooth journey and yes when you get your text saying your petition is approved.. whatever it is your doing at the time your text comes. I hope you can take a moment and savor it because it sure feels good!! :)
