Thanks all for the supportive and encouraging words. I am trying my best to stay calm, although I have to admit, I am not doing a very good job of it. I have to say, the feeling of going without food and water for 18 hours a day for Ramadan is nothing compared to the feeling of being without my husband for Ramadan. Alhamdulillah the government is making progress. It's just really sad this is taking this long. What makes me the most uneasy about this "hardware failure" is that if someone decided to make a cyber attack on our government on a large scale, our entire country could be crippled for an extended period of time leaving us vulnerable to acts of terrorism and other unrest. Okay! Go, go, go, go, go, go! Lol!

We should have had our visa a week ago. Damn "hardware failure" you're killing me!

I should blame the NVC for this misery I feel! If only they would have actually scheduled interview dates in order of CC then my hubby would have been here already. While I am happy others are enjoying Ramadan with their spouses, it makes me somewhat bitter to know that people with CC a full month after mine are with their loved ones right now and I am here struggling through Ramadan to care for my grandfather alone.

Such selfishness on my behalf. Not very good thoughts and feelings to be carrying within myself during this holy month of Ramadan. Shame on me!

New update guys:-

39 posts are running now.

Q: How long before you restore full system functionality?

  • We anticipate that the system will be fully reconnected this week. We plan to work over the weekend to clear our backlog.
  • As of noon today, 39 posts have been reconnected, representing more than two-thirds of the global nonimmigrant visa volume. All our servers appear to be stable.

  • There is a large backlog of cases to clear, but we have already made good progress. We will continue to bring additional posts online until connectivity with all posts is restored.

you are most welcome, we also waiting for our own we had our approval last Wednesday, so hopefully soon everyone is getting there visas :)

and we pray for you soloenta, you and your husband shall survive this together :)

You made me cry, thank you again for such lovely words and well wishes. I pray every day for all of you to not suffer what we are. It brings us great joy to know others have their Visa and will soon live a normal married life and continue to pray for those who are suffering and for ourselves to be removed from this endless nightmare. I will keep this thread up no matter what for as long as I can because there always seems to be someone that will need comfort in this process. God bless and help us all. :)(F) (L) (F)

That is a very scary thought.

Anyhow, enough of the what if's. I am so happy to hear everyone's good news, BRosa, TeamSami, and everyone else! Insha'Allah, may we all be with our loved ones soon!

I agree with you it is scary and might be an if but a real if. God willing my friend this will end for you very soon. :)

I know you will be together before Ramadon ends, God willing. (L)

Teamsami thanks for the updates!! Maharosa I feel ya, girl. I too, am struggling with emotions and being without my husband at Ramadan. I really wanted to share this with him in person. I'm so happy Soloenta is with her hubby right now! Blessings to us all, and yes God willing, we will all get our ISSUEDS now they are fixing things. I'm really wondering though...are they only fixing for non immigrant visas or immigrant visas too??? I pretty much have given my stress to God, I just can't take much more so I put it in his hands, the more I think about it the more anxiety I have and I seriously am emotionally drained. It's all up to God, so all I can do is release it to him. & try to carry on. TRY. Btw I started my first online class through Grand Canyon University. So much work ugh....whoever tells you college online is a joke...ummm can you get me that info??? Lol... So far I've spent like 5 hours the past 2 days on 3 assignments, completing 2 1/2 so far and I still have another paper and a journal paper to write... And discussion posts in their forums....just ranting! But like seriously in week one??? Good grief Charlie Brown!

Thank you sweet heart, who said it's easy online, I think it's more difficult you just can't walk up and ask a question so I commend you for what your doing it's just great and congratulations for doing this.

I also can't take much more of this so I spend much of my time praying mostly when I feel i'm going to lose it. I watch my husband and wonder how can anyone (CO) think of him the way he did! I am blessed to have found him, God willing we can be together and not have to leave each other in the near future.

Hugs to you my dear sweet friend. (L)

YIPPPPEEEEE (I think)

Status this morning says ISSUED!!!

But if they aren't printing visas, what does this mean?

Also, the fine print is confusing...

Issued
Immigrant Visa Case Number: Case Creation Date: 17-Apr-2014 Status Updated Date: 25-Jun-2015
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. As the officer told you in the interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

Please note: Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. Also, some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.
