I volunteered to help my wife fill out the I-864 form.

I'm getting caught up with the joint sponsor question. My wife doesn't make enough money annually, so my mother-in-law will be submitting another form.

Can anyone post a page of what they needed to fill out specifically for this type of case?

hi

her mom will file another i864 as her joint sponsor, just like her

unless she lives in the same house and will combine incomes

but she will file the same thing as your wife, just with her information and her household members

Does my mother-in-law file a I-864A and a I-864 for herself? Or would she fill out a I-864EZ and I-864?

(My wife and my mother-in-law live in the same household).

My wife I assume will only need to fill out a I-864.

Under Part 1.d. am I to select "I am the only joint sponsor." or "I am the FIRST or SECOND of joint sponsors"?

wife = I-864

MIL = I-864

Doesn't matter if they live in the same household, there is no reason to combine incomes unless the mom claims the daughter on her taxes already.

MIL marks I am the only joint sponsor.
