How sharp do you need to be to find illegals?

Let's face it some of these flag waving tools are not the sharpest in the shed.

It's because it doesn't affect them personally. That's where all these crazy ideas come from. People have no issues with imposing draconian rule, just as long as it's pointed in the other direction...

I thought the discussion was enforcing existing laws.

It's a direct result of the continuous dehumanization efforts against these migrants on the far right. It works. Always has, always will. Goebbels would be proud.

It was, until someone made the mention of putting a bounty out on illegals.

It's a shame that folks tend to measure one's citizenship based on how one looks...

Who gets to determine what is or isn't a crazy idea? Your crazy might not be their crazy...as crazy as that sounds.

It's a shame that folks tend to measure one's citizenship based on how one looks...

-- "How you singing the national anthem looking like an illegal immigrant" from Andre Lacey, proud father and firefighter from Augusta, Georgia.

-- "Why is a foreigner singing the national anthem. I realize that's San Antonio but that still ain't Mexico" from Lewie Groh.

-- "Who let this illegal alien sing our national anthem?" from Matt Cyrus.

That famed Hispanic Privilege that some of our members have been talking about recently is palpable here, isn't it? Who wouldn't love himself some of that?

What's wrong with bounties? America's Most Wanted offered monetary "rewards" read bounties on criminals.

Resurrect America's Most Wanted and start displaying pictures of previously convicted criminals aka illegal aliens on television..

Rehire John Walsh and call the show America's Most Wanted Immigration Law Breakers.

Gasp!!! They don't all "look/appear" fill in the blank.

That's because it's streamlined. A bounty system without rules and regulations would be chaos. Not to mention you have different circumstances for each case.

Agree with your assertion that one without rules and regulations would be chaos. So what then? How about putting some rules and regulations into place and see if it's effective. America's Most Wanted was quite effective if I recall. It didn't start out streamlined either.

If Dog the Bounty Hunter can do it effectively dammit, then it can be done.

Ooopsy, I used a bad word. I hope a Mod doesn't find it inflammatory or offensive.

Also, we don't know what everyone's situation is. I don't feel comfortable with rounding up a bunch of people who came here to make a better life for themselves and sending them back over to a fate some consider worse than death. There's a lot to consider. I'd rather wait until a viable solution becomes available before we start splitting up families.

Odd

I have been to Mexico many times and never considered going there a fate worth than death.

I'm going to assume it wasn't Juarez, Mexico.

http://www.cnn.com/2012/02/09/us/juarez-dangerous-marriage/

"I am living with my wife and son in perilous and very dangerous conditions in Juarez, Mexico. We live with fear of our lives on a daily basis," he wrote. "As U.S Citizens, my son and I are facing extreme danger everyday we wake up in one of the most violent cities in the world."

His plea went unanswered, and within six months, Reyes-Neal's fear proved prophetic. He was shot more than 80 times outside the family's home. Nava's uncle was also killed in the attack. The motive was unclear, although the family suspects robbery.

"The last thing I heard was him saying, 'I don't speak Spanish,' 'No hablo español,' and that's it. And then I just heard the shots, and then I waited for a little bit because I was scared to go down there. I just went down there with Anthony and my grandma, and they were right there on the floor, on the ground," Nava said.

Have not been there, or Baltimore, or Waco or East LA.

"Fate worse than death" ? Most of the illegals in fact all the illegals I know are from Mexico. I wasn't aware living in Mexico was a fate worse than death.

Some of the guys I know maintain a family in USA and also have a family back in Mexico and they send money home for the wife and kid to support them.
