We got out NOA1 on April 27..still no Biometrics app yet !!!! My young daughter is expecting her 1st child June 27th and my other daughter is expecting her son August 30 .I have applied but afraid it won't get approved in time...what can I do if anything ??

You will probably have your AP before the birth of the later child, but before the birth of the first is unlikely.

This isn't an emergency situation, so you would not be able to receive an expedite.

there's no harm in applying for expedite.... call USCIS and explain to them...goodluck

There's a thread in the AOS forum about someone who did infopass for an expedite because the US citizen's brother was getting married in Canada on the 30th. They got their expedite approved and that seems a lot less "emergency" than a daughter having a baby. Though you'll probably have a hard time convincing your local office that this is worth the expedite, it is probably worth your time to try.

A wedding or the normal birth of a child is neither of those things.

Criteria for Expedited Processing of an Application

Severe financial loss to company or person;

Emergency situations;

Humanitarian reasons;

Nonprofit organization whose request is in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States;

Department of Defense or National Interest Situation (Note: The request must come from an official U.S. Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to the Government.);

USCIS error; or

Compelling interest of USCIS.

Pregnant daughter is not one of them.

Somebody got his case expedited because of a job offer... do u see that as a criteria either? A friend also got her case expedited because she's not allowed to reside with her husband at the "based of income" apartment were he resides..Am sure that doesn't fall into any criteria as well.. Expedite request is granted SOMETIMES at the discretion of the officer handling the case. It doesn't always conform to the criteria listed on the uscis website. SO,everyone is free to take a shot at it !!! No one should tell anybody not to try simply because they didn'try..

It was just a question...I do understand the rules BUT I have read of different scenarios being approved that's NOT on the list...
