Lost Green Card and Due to File for Removal of Conditions

We just received my wife's letter from USCIS that she is 90 days out and can file for removal of conditions. The problem is that recently my wife lost her wallet containing her green card (police report filed). The wait for a replacement green card will put us past her green card's expiration date. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Do you have any copies at all of it? If she works she can go to hr and ask for a copy of her employee file. If there was a copy of the GC, they can make a copy of it for her.

She has not worked since receiving her green card and we did not make a copy.

But on another note, even if they say to keep your green card on you for identity purposes, I fail to see the logic in it.

You should keep it in a safe/filing cabinet at home. Doe she have a state-issued driver ID / non-driver ID? That's all you should carry with you (unless travelling internationally).

_{I called the USCIS phone help number and they said that 91 days plus before expiration we would submit form I-90 for a replacement card but 90 or sooner before expiration we cannot use the form I-90.}

_{They advised that we submit the form I-751 with support that any missing documents do not exist. In this case it will be the police report of my wife's missing wallet/green card.}

_{Hopefully they will accept this at the service center when processing her removal of conditions.}

I personally would still try to schedule an Infopass appointment to try and get something in writing. Maybe it's not all that big of a deal since they already have all of the info about your green card, but it also wouldn't hurt to have additional information on top of the police report.

What documents can I attached in replacement of GC copy? I already applied I-90 filed for replacement of my lost GC but still waiting in vain. ?
