Entry / Exit reports

Hello guys,

we where in argument today about whether immigration officers do have Entry / Exit reports in hand before during naturalization interviews? do they collect such reports in advance before interview?

what do you think???

If it's with Canada they may as the countries share information like that. If not they could look up plane tickets. K1 people have had that issue with round trip tickets.

Yes. Don't forget CBP and USCIS belong to the same department. They have access to CBP databases

While not certain, my understanding is interviewers do not have direct access to CBP database. They rely on applicants to furnish out-of-country travel details on good faith. An officer is authorized to place a hold on naturalization; to obtain POE data if they have reasons to.

Interviewers can access travel records at any time, but I don't know how they do it.

Some interviewers review the travel record before the interview. Others (at busier offices) will look at the application and the entry stamps on the passport to get an idea of how close an applicant is to the limit. If the applicant is close, he may not be given a decision until the full travel record is reviewed. I'm not sure what it takes to pull a travel record (whether or not it can be done during a short interview) but there's evidence that it doesn't take very long and that travel checks can be completed within a day.

As mentioned by someone else, CBP and USCIS are both in DHS so I wouldn't be surprised if the check was instantaneous.

Yes, they do. They had a full print out of every single entry to the US I had. I travel a lot for business, so my file was extensive.
