Hello--

I'm traveling to Jamaica soon and I'll also be there for my fiancé's interview. Does anyone know if USCs (without any reason to be there really) are allowed on the compound at all or do I have to wait outside of the compound? I don't mind either way, but if I'm not allowed in I wonder if there is somewhere I can sit. A wall will do just fine. I just wanna get a feel for what it's like. Anyone who can shed some light that would be great - thanks!

This says that fiance(e)'s are not allowed at the interview. I'm not sure where you would be allowed in regards to being present but not being allowed to be in the interview. I hope someone can help you soon!

American citizens are allowed at the embassy so long as you go in at the "American Citizens hours" and with your passport.

Kingston's time starts for American citizens is 8 am . So if your fiancé enters the embassy at 7 am, you CAN'T enter at that time since you are a citizen ( enter at 8 am).

Actually, you can go to the Sovereign Center that's like 3 minutes away. It's a good size mall, free wifi, lots of plugs and food court. You can wait there and keep yourself occupied with gadgets or just people watching and have your fiance meet you there after. No big deal.

@lioness thank you so much! I'm really starting to get nervous. I like the idea of being close to the embassy, maybe I'll go to sovereign center or sit in the shade part that another poster mentioned.

I'm gonna bring a book. But no electronics juuuusst in case I'm invited inside to tell the CO how much I love my baby.
