Greetings to you all,

I will be filling for a K1 visa for my fiancee from Vietnam to come to the USA for us to get married.

My fiancee has a 10 year old daughter from a previous marriage. I will be applying for K2 visa for the daughter. What immigration forms should I fill up and what are the child documents I should provide the immigration people?

Please help and I thank you all in advance.

Welcome to the forum.

For starters, make sure that the child is listed on the I-129F petition. Later on, in the consulate interview phase of the process much more documentation will be required.

Check out this link for more info: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/immigrate/family/fiance-k-1.html

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Make sure you understand exactly what the embassy requires for the child as far as the bio father is concerned.

List them on the I-129F petition to begin with. That is all that is needed for the petition part of the process.

After the petition is approved, they will need to apply for a K-2 visa, just like the parent is applying for a K-1. They will require their own forms, visa processing fee, medical and supporting documents. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/hochiminh/231771/PDFs/K-INSTRUCTION.pdf
