Hi

I am new to all this. We got our I129F approved on 7th July.

-Do you need an Invoice number for K1 Visa?

I can only answer this one question here. You might find some more information in the South Asia forum too; I've seen a lot of posts from Pakistani applicants.

You are given an invoice number by the NVC, but you can't pay for the visa fees on ceac.gov - I tried. However, I know Pakistan uses a different site to track statuses - is it ustraveldoc.com? Something like that. When my fiance and I were first talking about marriage, we tried for visit visa and he had an interview in Islamabad. (He has a full scholarship in a Pakistani university and we were thinking about waiting for him to finish his degree before he immigrated.) That process may be a little different because he printed a bank deposit slip to pay the visa fee in cash at a bank before his interview. During his fiance interview, he paid in USD cash at the embassy.

You may find some good info on this thread too: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/550800-interviews-islamabad-embassy-june-2015/page-23#entry7751091
