Applying for IR2 visa now. Is there a need to file an "Abandonment of Permanent Residence" form for prior immigrant status?

Hi! My interview at the US Consulate in Manila, Philippines is a week away. I am applying for IR2 visa pursuant to the CSPA. I have been to the US before under F2A as my father was still an LPR at the time. March 2007 was the time I entered the US and stayed there for 2 months (our summer break from school here in the PH). Before leaving, I applied a re-entry permit valid for 2 years (until 2009). I was not able to come back during the validity of the re-entry permit and even after because of school. I have never been to the US since June 2007. It has been almost 8 years. My green card though has not expired yet as it will expire in 2017. I would just like to ask if I should have filed the form "Abandonment of Permanent Residence"? or is it ok that my dad just filed new petition under a category I qualify for now deeming that I no longer have immigrant status whatsoever in the US? I just want to avoid problems during the interview as much as possible. Also, will the prior petition and subsequent abandonment have bearing on this new one? Thank you for all of your help :)
