You get it from the local registry, the marriage registrar section and show them your passport (and optional, a notarized statement that you aren't

married), then they will look up your name which is NOT in the registry and give you the Certificate of Bachelor (single status).

Years ago people routinely added them to their K1 package.

Aside from that have the Elders/Officiants of your celebration give you a notarized statement / affidavit that it was an engagement

ceremony not a wedding, also all the parents notarized affidavits.

That should do it.

If what you have on facebook is made to be public then yes, both them and future interviewers for whatever job you apply to (or anyone else for that matter) can see it.

He should be ale to, he should go their early in the morning, preferably Monday to Wednesday as its very heptic on Thursdays and Fridays with wedding ceremonies,

As for the same day situation you know what that requires in Nigerian government offices... so he should go prepared along with passport pictures, identification etc. can't remember if he will need birth certificate or not, but he should talk everything he thinks they may ask for.

I think the actual fee for the certificate is 1,000 naira, but again he should go prepared is all I can really say....

@ OP if they already pulled marriage "eligibility" pictures and asked for specific pictures going further to get certificate of bachelor (dont know what that is and how legal) is like a defendant who is already bargaining with the judge for a fair sentence whilst still maintaining the "not guilty plea"

thread with caution your relationship looks genuine, hope only for the best (admin proc) and worst would be you refile for the right category a little wait but you know for sure the embassy will surely approve you.

No, it is factual evidence that they are unmarried. If you do not know what a certificate of bachelor/single status is then perhaps you

should not make such judgements but do some research before you comment.

No one is supporting bribe on here, if you've have ever been to such a place you would know that when they see you in a rush all of a sudden the price's change....
