Hi all...

I'm confused (again). I'm getting ready to do my new wife's AOS and read that I have to file both the 485 AOS form and the I-130 K3 form. Is this true?

I have the address for the AOS. Is the 130 sent to the same address?

I've found nothing that spells it out thus far, although I may not be looking in the right place on the site. Can anyone help me out? I'm so confused (but I'm SO happy that my Filipina lady and I are now happily married).

I forgot to mention that she came in on April 1st on a K1 and we were married on May 9th. We're waiting for the Philippine consulate on our marriage registrastion that I guess we have to file. Is this also true even if we're in the USA?

Anyway, I'm going to attempt this one on my own and any guidance anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Maybe step by step? With everything included? Pretty please????

You don't file a I-130 because she came on a K1 and you got married.

Not sure what you mean by marriage registration, what you need to include is a certified copy of your marriage license.

Take your time to look at the link, there is a lot more than just the I-485 form.

Waiting to skip ROC and get 10 yr GC due to over 2 year while pending AOS
AOS APPROVED Oct. 4, 2017 * Green card in hand Oct 13, 2017 !!!!!

First K1 denied after 16 month of AP. Refiled. We are a couple since 2009. Not a sprint but a matter of endurance.

You can file registration of marriage anytime. I've been married 1.5years before I registered our marriage because I was so sick of all the paperwork and needed a break. I'm assuming you got married in New York. Here are the requirements for report of marriage contracted abroad:

Just for clarification. Completing the Report of Marriage is not an USCIS immigration requirement. For you Adjustment of Status you need only your marriage certificate.

The Report of Marriage allows your marriage to be reported to the NSO in the Philippines (The same government office that issued your wife the CENOMAR when she was getting ready for her fiancé visa interview). If your wife would like to get a Philippine passport in her married name, the consulate/embassy states this Report of Marriage and the filing with the NSP is required.

That's right, you don't need to file a Report of Marriage" with the Philippines Consulate in order to adjust her status with the USCIS.

My K-1 wife, Chinook, didn't report our marriage until after she became a U.S. citizen. She reported our marriage because it was required when she applied to reacquire her Philippines citizenship and to get a new Philippines passport.
