Our NOA2 was approved and was sent to NVC last April 23, I just called them last night and was informed that they received our case last May 18, It will be scanned to have the case and IID#, I will give them a call before this week ends and will keep everyone posted.

Wait or hold time to get your call answered is between 30-45 minutes. Just be patient in calling NVC.

So we´ve just found that our case was sent to NVC only on 29th April, two weeks after NOA2 approval. So I guess timing is fine. We should expect NVC number soon. :)

You should be able to get your NVC (case) number now. They gave me the case number a day after they received the petition.

Right now the NVC is having network issues so almost everything is frozen as far as the processing... It happened May 1st... As far as calling the NVC... You keep redialing the number until you hear it ring... If it goes straight to voice without ringing just hang up and hit redial... It may take quite a few times... And be prepared to wait up to a hour before a human answers... Good luck!

It took me two days to finally get through. I called right at 7am o

Today, got thru, only to have the call just drop (this happened twice). By 703am, the lines were already tied up. Ridiculous!

Hello to all thank you for you're all reply! Finally my husband was able to contact the nvc and gave him 3 letters followed by ten digits. Is that means accepted? How long again we have to wait and what next we have yo do?

Your profile isn't complete, so no one knows which stage you are at, what visa you applied for, which embassy your petition is going to.

No, the DoS case number does not mean you've been accepted. It just means your petition is with the DoS - Department of State (NVC)

Finally we got the case number. I open this website https://ceac.state.gov.ceac/and check our status and i read that we our going to receive a mail with instructions and to follow this instructions. My husband called the nvc and told about the changed of his address. He also send them a letter regarding the new mailing address. The last time he called he was told that that our file was not processed yet and they he is not going to received a mail yet because it's not started yet to process. So is that mean the status checking is not reliable? If my husband change his address is it possible that it's going to be in his old address in case it's true that the nvc send him a mail. Now, we don't know where to start again or better wait for the mail.?
