APRIL FILERS AFTER NOA2 - NVC (CSC)

Thought I'd start this thread for the April filers who have received the NOA2 & are onto the next stage to keep the April filers thread current for NOA1-NOA2.

Contacted the NVC at 7am this morning & they had received the petition from USCIS yesterday!

I got through to the relevant advisor through the automated options in around 10 minutes.

He asked for the case number to which I gave the USCIS case number. He asked for the petitioner name & date of birth, then the beneficiary name & date of birth. I explained that I was ringing to see if there was a case number yet & to see if they had received the petition from USCIS. He said it was received yesterday & gave me the new London case number & the invoice ID. Also informed me that the petition was being processed & a letter would be in the post shortly.

Total call time, including being on hold, just under 12 minutes.

If you need to ring then my tip is: start ringing at 0659am Eastern time, be patient, have the WAC case number & names/date of births ready.

Ours was 13 days from NOA2 to receipt at NVC with new case number.

Hi, I got my NVC case number almost a week ago, so it's entirely possible that it's already on its way to the embassy. Still, I'd like to be able to check my status. Are you able to see your status on the CEAC status checker?

Nevermind, spoke too soon! I got through to NVC tonight and they confirmed the website is having issues, so if you want an update on your case, your best bet is to call. I found out my case was already sent to the embassy last week, 1 day after our case number was assigned. Crazy fast!

Wow that's crazy fast!!

The case checkers not working for me, the system must still be out?

Think I've pretty much sorted what I need to get for the medical/interview & saved the DS-160 ready to send when needed. Didn't realise that wanted so much info on it!!

Case checker still not working so I've had a play around on the DHL tracking site to see how many petitions are being sent from the NVC to Embassy.

http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

To track put in the reference: EXP 21 MAY 2015A (you change the 21 to a date that you want to search). Then change the date range - I used 01 May to today. Then choose the destination.

They send packages individually, they don't send them in a batch so it looks like if yours is ready then it's sent.

There was one sent to London yesterday, it may be mine, who knows?? On average it seems there's one every other day sent to London.

I checked it out as well. One package arriving in SA today( well actually it is here already) not sure if that is mine, could be one of the other 2 people I have seen here on VJ with more or less the same NOA2 date. but you are right, who knows!?

Only individual files are sent, which make assume that it isnt mine, because why would mine arrive before 2 other people whose NOA2 dates were before mine? right?

The DHL thing is a bit finicky, well for SA it is anyway. like if I put in the date range 15-21 may. says 1 result, which was sent off on the 18th arriving today. but if I say 18-21st, it shows no results.

Anyways, thank you for the update. all the best

Also noticed that if you use DHL.com instead of the USA one, it doesnt show it came from NVC or how many pieces it is. Just so everyone is aware

I suppose it's probably not much use until you know the pack is in transit? Which obviously we can't check as the case checkers down lol!

Seem to be finding visa related ways of passing the time before work ?

Checking in to say hello to everyone and congrats on everyone's NOA 2's!! Also thanks for creating this thread. At this point in the process it just makes me feel like there is just so much waiting and wondering what will happen next before we get to the actual interview phase. We received our NOA 2 last week. Still waiting a little longer before I call NVC to see about my case number.

Grats on your file making it to the embassy! We will also be having our interview at the Paris embassy since they no longer do the K1 interviews in Portugal anymore. You'll have to give a shout out for any updates for your experience there or a quick review on here. I've been reading up on the Paris embassy for any advice on what to expect once our case gets there. I wish you the best of luck and a speedy approval!

Thank you! :) That's crazy that you have to go all the way to France though. I wonder why not Spain? Anyway, I will definitely keep you updated, and best of luck to you too.

Congrats to everyone!

We still havent called the NVC, yesterday ( 21st) was two weeks since NOA2. But I have seen that a package from NVC was on route to South Africa, so, who knows, but that might be ours :-) one can only hope.

Anyone receive ANY letters/comms from NVC at all? ( dont mean after you called)

I didn't hear from NVC at all in any form of communication, but when I called last time, I asked why they hadn't sent me a letter and they said they don't send out letters.

That is very strange, as I kind of remember reading that they send letters stating that your case was received and it will be forwarded to the Fiance(e)'s consulate within a week.
