Hello everyone,

I posted a while ago, and thanks for the previous replies. So we are at the point where we will be doing the K1 visa process. We would like to start our file processing for June 2015. We just had some questions specifically referring to the Ghana consulate. We have been through the forums for this embassy a couple times and had some questions as a result. Hopefully you guys can help us out. This is for the I-129F package:

1) For proof of ongoing relationship, we have had a lot of stateside time, and minimal long distance time thankfully. We have a lot of photos, tons of texts, some call records, Skype chat logs. etc. Should we still provide around 50-80 ideal pictures when we file the I-129F? We are aware about the guides recommendation for 2-5 pictures and we would like more evidence than necessary though. So what is the ideal number to send for the first submission? Also the printouts of our text messages, Skype conversations, are several hundred pages. Should we print them and include them at this stage or wait until the interview to submit them? How many pages of texts should we submit with the I-129F? Again we like lots of evidence. Card photocopies as well?

2)

for the foreign spouse's G-325A, she will be out of the country when we would like to file (June), can I sign the document for her and date it? or does she need to send a signed and scanned document for that submission?

3)

Is it ok to give photo copies of cards like birthdays, holidays? We don't want them to damage our original cards or keep them.

Thanks for the help everyone, we look forward to hearing from you. Especially those of you with experience with the Ghana consulate because we have seen some of the experiences at this consulate with the people not bothering to look at pages of evidence. Thanks.

Focus on evidence showing the amount of time spent together.

1. Save the tons of proof of ongoing relationship for the US Embassy/Consulate interview. You will need it, especially since your fiancee is from Ghana, which is high fraud country where the chances of a K1 visa approval are slim. Submit max. 10 photos in the I-129F package, no one has time and capacity to look at 50. For now concentrate on the proof of having met because that is what is required for the I-129F petition.

2. The G-325A (just like other immigration documents of the beneficiary) have to be signed by HER, period. And it needs to be an original signature. She can fill out the form, print it out and mail it to you.

3. It is fine to send copies, but again save those for the her interview.

1. YES, definitely front load this all to USCIS. 40-50 pics is fine, dated and separated by each trip / visit.

I would include about 200 or so communication pages spanning from when you first met to current, that tell the story of your growth

in the relationship.

Select some from each, skype, texts, call records, copies of cards.

Then bring everything to the interview, I advice you to be there for the interview.

2. Must be wet signature, so original and not scanned.

3. Yes.

Absolutely proceed in the way that Ebunoluwa suggests.

- Accra is a TOUGH embassy.

- USCIS will not care about this extra evidence but will pass it to Accra upon petition approval.

- Before interviews, consuls form a mental picture of whether they will grant or refuse visas.

- Consuls sometimes refuse to review or even accept evidence that's saved for the interview.

- You have solid evidence that will favorably distinguish your file from those with weaker support.

Ah, Thanks so much for all of your input everyone! We will definitely proceed as Ebunoluwa has recommended. We figured the more evidence the better considering the reputation for the Accra consulate. Haha. Thanks again. We will update our timeline when we actually submit. Have a great weekend! I will post more questions if the need arises.

One more question?

"Declaration of how you met in person in the last two years. This should be a single typed page attachment regarding question '34.a' of the I-129F. Make sure to sign and date it."

The K1 I-129F package guide has this line in it. Do we both have to sign this wet signature, or just me the petitioner? Thanks all!

Thanks all!

-B and E

Only you have to sign this one. But you do need both a seperate letter of intend to marry.

I'm going to send you a picture of my package of evidence that my fiance brought along during the interview.. As everyone says it's best to front load as the CO may have made their decision before the interview occurs. In our case the CO asked for specific information during the interview and gave a second interview date. Although they didn't even look at the requested information during the second interview. Ghana is a hard embassy and of late many people on VJ have been denied.

Ok, new question we will be mailing it out this week! :).

At the interview date for my fiancee at the Accra embassy, does she need to submit copies of the same original evidence filed with I-129F or just additional evidence since the initial filing?

Thanks everyone!
