VISA APPROVED AT INTERVIEW, BUT CASE IS STILL AT ADMIN PROCESSING. NEED HELP!

Hey all,

My friend needs help. Her interview was on March 20th at Montreal. She was approved. She got the welcome letter and everything. She flew back to Vancouver and since has been waiting for her visa packet and passport. Its been almost 2 months. She has called NVC numerous times and she has been told her visa has not been approved and her case is at 'administrative processing'. Has anyone ever heard of such case where visa is approved at interview, however case is at administrative processing?

Poor girl is stressed and worried. She cant even travel anywhere because she doesn't have her passport please please reply your thoughts or refer me to another thread where I may be able to get answers. Thanks in advance and good luck to you all!

So....in the top right there's a search bar. Type in "adminstrative processing". It happens alot, kind of unusual for it to be that long for a Canadian though.

No problem. You could put Canada at the end of that to narrow it to there also. Sorry if it sounded rude in this first post, but there's many threads and didn't want you to point to just one...

What was she told at her interview? Was she given anything, i.e. a form like a 221g.? Calling NVC has nothing to do with this. This is an Embassy matter.

Many people are put in AP. Are they of Canadian Nationality or from another country where being in AP maybe commonplace?

If she needs to travel she can always contact the embassy and request it and they will send to her. That's no issue there.
