No, it would only have been a red flag if you had started the process or gotten married right after the divorce.

Why it is a read flag? To go through divorce nowadays sometimes takes 2-4 years. I wouldn't be surprised if one finds new love within that period and marries right after they get divorced. Plus, to come up to the idea of divorce itself takes some time too. Usually there is no relationship for a long time. I don't think it is a red flag in general.

For them it looks suspicious and could indicate a very short time of dating before marriage if you get married right after the divorce as you are technically still married prior to the divorce being final. A lot of times red flags are not about how things are but how they are perceived.

Forgot to tell that we became officially in a relationship March of 2011 but he was divorce August of 2011. The second time we've been together in person Feb-March 2014 almost a month then he filed petition Dec 2014.

This is not true at all.

I filed my I-129F petition 2 days after my divorce was final, and there was absolutely no issue or question at all from USCIS nor from the embassy in Manila.

That's what I wonder ..my fiance got divorced in august 14..but we've already been together in october 2013 ..because she cheated on him etc..so they were living separated for almost 1 year and 3 months ..we got engaged in november 2014 (we both never thought we'll get a long that well ..he's my everything soulmate..best friend and fiance *__*) ..will this be a issue at the interview?

I still don't think that matters too much. As others had said they started dating before the divorce was finalized. Divorce papers usually show when the person

was seperated, but I don't think adultery is a federal crime (some states charge for it, not all though), but divorces can take months to years to actually finalize.

My exhusband and I seperated in late Feb early march 2013, I started dating my fiance in march 2013, my exhusband started dating his current girlfriend also in march of 2013, but due to finances we couldn't file til Dec 2013 but he moved out in March 2013, the divorce wasn't finalized til June 2014, but shows that he moved out in march. Everyone's situation is different, most poeple are aware of that though, so it should have no baring on anything other than maybe a judgement of character IF there are other causes to think that you just kinda wing it when it comes to relationships.

As someone else said, they filed 2 days after the divorced was final, so.. obviously they were in a relationship prior to the finalization of their divorce lol.
