Can mom and daughter travel on same I-751 receipt letter?

Filed for removal of conditions, received one receipt letter for mom. Later received two letters for biometrics appointment, did biometrics with no problems. Want to vacation in the USA, can we use both expired green cards and one receipt letter? I know I can go get both passports stamped, but do I need to?

Was the child included on LPR parent's I-751 petition? If so, they should eventually get their own GC extension letter. (Though it may be printed on plain paper, and not official USCIS letterhead)

BTW, is the child listed on mom's I-751 NOA1 receipt letter?

It sounds from your posting that your travel will be within the US? For domestic US travel, any government-issued ID (i.e., state ID card, state driver's license) is all that is required for domestic TSA needs.

Thanks for your reply! To answer your questions: Yes, the child was included on the I-751, entered the US at the same time. I thought we would get a seperate letter for the child, but did not. No, the child is not listed on mom's NOA1 letter, which puzzled me. You are right, travel within the USA. Yes, mom has a state driving license, but the child of course does not. I had heard that the NOA1 letter for mom would suffice, but that doesn't make sense to me if the child is not listed on it.

For domestic flights, just a driver's license should be sufficient.

TSA check for IDs of a person that is 18 and over.

Adult passengers 18 and over must show valid identification at the airport checkpoint in order to travel.

You should have received a second letter, maybe a week after receiving your wife's NOA 1.

My son is not mentioned on my letter. But his letter is on official headed paper and says ''verification of inclusion of a dependent in filing of form I-751''

It also says further down ''You may travel outside the United States and return during this one year period upon presentation of both your alien registration receipt card and this verification''

I would call and find out where the letter has gone.

I have two children on the same filing as mine however their letters came on plain paper in a very plain envelope, too, if I recall correctly. But the letters themselves barely look official at all and like something I could have written up myself and printed. Not on letterhead at all. When did you receive your notices. The child's letter should have arrived not long after.

You don't need that letter for domestic travel but you might want to try to get it for future use!

BTW, both wife and stepson now have WA state driver's licenses. However, prior to that, I assisted them in obtaining WA state ID cards. Much handier than them hauling around (and possibly losing) their passports.

Agree with Ms Hogan, you should follow up and determine the fate of the K2's extension letter. We got the same cheap piece of non-official white paper from USCIS to be used as the extension letter.

Thanks for all the replies, good information. I have scheduled an infopass after calling the USCIS. I will have their passports stamped (hopefully), and that should put it to rest. I was hoping I could get a copy of the child's NOA1, but not sure if that can be obtained during the scheduled infopass. We want to vacation this summer and if there will be no issue flying with expired greencards, the wife's NOA1 letter and her driver's license we should be okay. No plans for international travel until next year, so hopefully we will have the 10 year GC by then.
