Getting married is not the issue, I am not even sure that asylum seekers can not petion spouses.

Would imagine it would be part of the PR process.

My understanding is said girlfriend is not in the US. OP you would need to get your GC first (become a permanent resident), marry your girlfriend (you can do this now), and file under visa category F

You can marry anytime, anywhere you want. You can't file for her to immigrate to the U.S. until you are either a LPR or a U.S. citizen.
