Port of entery K1, package from the embassy.. Curious

Hey everyone. I hope my question is not so silly...... Where do immgration send the sealed package that was given to to them upon arrival? The officer gave me a small brown envelop, from opening the package, i know my photos in it from the I-129f, then he seem to remember or realize something and then took it back and told me i will eventually get them back.

Got rejection notice on May 29, 2015 for an incomplete application

Receive rejected application on June 6, 2015

Resubmit June 8, 2015

Delivered June 9, 2015

NOA Date : 2015-06-16

Bio. Appt. : 2015-07-06

EAD and AP Approved Date : 2015-08-14

Date Combo Card Received : 2015-08-21 (Received my card about 6hrs apart on the same day they sent an e-mail that they shipped my card).

That sealed envelope should not have been opened. It contained the info and paperwork from your 129f package. It goes to the uscis. for inclusion in your file you do not get anything back. It is supposed to stay sealed from what I understand.

I wasnt the one who opened it.. The officer did and I believe i saw most envelop that was present to the that they opened.. Now Im worried.. :(

But it stated on the envoloped clearly that it was suppose to be presented to the immigration officer, so clearly they would have authority to open it, and the officer to me seem experince in what he was doing, from questions he asked me and information that was given to... Still feeling paranoid..

I'm looking at your timeline and it seems you've already entered the U.S. The immigration officer at the airport who processed your arrival should open it, but you don't get anything back. I think your first post suggested that it was opened before you entered the U.S. But if you're already in the U.S. As your timeline suggests then you have nothing to worry about.

I am sorry that my post wasnt clear. Yes, I already entered and everything is ok. Just wated to know what immigration do with the package since that officer said i would get the pics eventually. I see alot of people who said the embassy return their pics from the initial filing, but sadly i wasnt the lucky one, I sent 25 pics witht he I-129f and took alot more for the embassy interview that they didnt even peek at. I would really love to get back those pictures cause we lost them all on a computer that crashed.

You won't get anything back from the package.

It gets sent off to join your AOS application.

You should always include copies of photos if you only have originals.

They probably send it back to USCIS/DHS for record keeping. I never got anything back from them. You don't really have anything to worry about now after handing that sealed envelope to the immigrations officer. Time to focus on getting married and adjusting status.

at that time, all i was trying to do is to avoid RFE. :) it was a rough journey and now AOS. Cant wait to file but still have 4 more days to get the marriage certificate.

You won't get anything back from that package.

It is sent to the USCIS for your case file. You do not get things back. Most instructions state not to provide originals, copies only, because they will not be returned to you. If you end up getting an AOS interview, you could ask the IO if you can have your photos back. There is also a form for requesting documents, but not sure it works for photos > http://www.uscis.gov/g-884
