Hello All,

My wife did her Medical and Finger Prints on December 12, 2014 in Juarez. She went to her interview on Dec. 16, 2014. She was denied and given the form to apply for an i-601 and i-212. Our lawyer submitted this immediately. (she knew it was coming and had us gather evidence for months prior). We got the i-601 & i-212 receipt date from Nebraska dated Jan. 2, 2015. Our case was approved per case status check on April 27, 2015!! :dancing: We hugged and cried and danced because finally my wife, myself (US citizen)and our 2 children (US citizens) can go home and say "adios" to Mexico! We have been in this process since July of 2011!

Ok, my questions now are: How long are people waiting to get an instruction letter? Today has been 16+ day since case status approval, neither us nor our lawyer has received anything via email or dhl.

Because we are now just enter month 5 since medical, is there a need to go back to Juarez? Could it be possible that we just have to DHL in her passport to get the visa stamped into it and the they send it back to us via DHL.

We are so excited to finally be here! The final wait starts to drive you a bit crazy after almost 4 years of Immi processing outside of USA.

To all the rest of you going through this long, painful, and arduous process, do NOT give up hope. Failure is not an option!

God Bless you all.

I have a question for you - my husband's I-601 was approved a couple of weeks ago, and we are waiting for notification from Ciudad Juarez to send in the passport. Did you receive the instruction letter in an email, or by mail? Also, can you let me know how long it takes for your wife to have the visa in hand? Thank you so much in advance :)

@Camtovm- The instruction letter was sent to my address in the US and to my Lawyer's office in San Francisco, CA using Snail/Postal Mail. Took weeks. Anyways we are supposed to have Visa in hand this week! Will let you know. Look at my timeline in my signature to get an idea too. Hope that helps. :)

Hello,

And congrats to all that have been approved..:idea: ...but as for my situation husband went to Juarez for interview on 6/16/15 was approved he was given his green slip of approval to go register his packet at DHL...after CEAC status was showing "READY...REFUSED....AP...and still on AP...called the consulate for updates and they stated he will received a instruction letter via DHL along with his visa that he has already sent to them...so this is where I'm confused biometrics and exam were done a week before everything came out fine...went to interview...APPROVED BY CO...and know we waiting for a letter...which accordingly is a second follow up interview...can anyone tell me there experience if they have been through this situation.
