NVC forms portal - unable to sign in to fill out DS 260/261 for over 1 week

Hi,

I've been trying to get in to fill out these forms for over a week. I get this error:

"The selected Case Number and Invoice Identification Number combination you entered does not match our records. Please try again or contact the National Visa Center for further assistance. "

I've called NVC 3 times. 1 time the guys said to just try again tomorrow. The 2nd time the rep said it was a known error, they were working on it and a supervisor would call me back (never did). The 3rd time (Friday) the rep tried logging in herself using my case number and invoice ID number and she was surprised to find she couldn't log in either. She said she'd raise a "work ticket" for me.

I'm totally stuck - anyone else experiencing this or no a workaround?

hey optimistical, I posted on here about that over a week ago too. Were you able to login previously? Or you never got in? Up to now I still cant get in

I am not able to log in. I talked to them again today and they said give it 5 business days. I asked them whether that meant from last Monday or Tuesday when I first tried to log in or from today? They said from today.

My case number was assigned on May 1, up to now still same exact error message. They told me to wait 1 week, by this Friday it's gona be 2 weeks. Got in touch with a supervisor last Friday (May 8). Still no progress. It seems as if this problem started with May cases

Dont worry, I'll notify you if I hear that any one of us can get through. I'm always on the lookout for updates lol

Were you able to hear it ring? You have to keep redialing until you hear it ring briefly, if you hear the voice message without the ring it means you didn't get through. Just keep calling til it rings once and you hear the voice mail.

I have issued to pay IV fee online and contacted NVC, but was told there were technical issues and they're aware of it. Cannot go to step of filling DS-260 form before IV fee has been paid.

My questions is that you have paid IV fee already?

I think IV fee comes later. I was told these are the steps:

step I. call and get case and invoice number

step 2. fill out Ds-261 choice of agent form

step 3. pay AOS fee

step 4. send in AOS and IV packets

Step 5. call and have the NVC review the DS-261 if they have not done it yet. keep calling till they do, some agents will tell you they can not, but it can be review over the phone

step 6. pay the IV fee

step 7. fill out the DS-260 visa application form

step 8. wait for case complete which should not be much longer

I think we need to continue to call NVC although their website posted "system malfunction" message. We're the only one negatively affected. NVC employees don't care how long to fix it.

call NVC for pushing. I understand calling NVC is subject to lucky as it's very hard to get it through. But patience will be paid off. It's how I did (at least 1.5 hours to call NVC).

Just keep calling NVC guys. That's all we really can do. What I'm worried about is that the cases are gonna backlog since people are coming into NVC but some of the older cases haven't filled up forms or pay AOS yet cause the system is malfunctioning.

For calling NVC, its all about PATIENCE. Keep redialing until you hear it ring briefly. That means you got in. Once you hear the automated message talk, follow the directions so you can input the correct numbers. To talk to a NVC rep, press 1, 3, 1, and then 1. Not at the same time, wait a bit after pressing each number for the automated message to play. Then you wait for 30 mins to 1 hour for a rep to speak with you. Do something fun while waiting XD
