Return of Original Documents

Hey guys! I posted a similar question back in February but really did not get much response. I was wondering if there was anyone who had their original documents returned and how they went about doing so.

I sent in the form G-884 and received a letter back stating that USCIS did not have original documents (I didn't send them the letter I sent it to the NVC as instructed), they stated they sent everything to NVC they should have it, NVC says call the embassy, Embassy says call point of entry, and POE says call USCIS!!!! :ranting: I made and infopass appointment here at my local USCIS office in the hopes of getting the documents back.

Has anyone had any luck getting them back? My husband has 2 birth certificates from 2 different countries and one is easier to obtain than the other, Also, our marriage license was a complicated venture and will not be so easy to obtain another 'original'. I also need our marriage license to change my passport and will absolutely need it when my license expires.... We were told they would be returned if we provided the copies which we did...

Any experience/Advice?
