Ok... can't find a straight answer. I'm mailing my parents' civil documents tomorrow for their IR5. I know I need to write something on the back of their 2x2 passport photos.

What info do I need to write down on the back?

Black pen? Blue pen? Pencil?

Please advise. Thanks in advance!

For our CR-1 Visa, we wrote...

Full name. Birthday. Case number. I used black pen. I wrote lightly so not to press into the photo.
