Hi everyone,

My fiancé's interview for his K-1 Visa is on May 28, 2015 and we have not received the physical letter of approval in the mail due to the following reasons:

I moved and called USCIS about a few weeks after I was notified by email that I was approved and so USCIS had already sent the document but the post office sent it back to USCIS and then I called to ask about where it was and turns out that they had not even sent it to the new address... I received an email on April 30, 2015 telling me that my document would finally arrive at my new address in 14 days. So I should get it by next week.

In case I do not receive it... I have all the other mail like the NVC approval and the Embassy approval because those were still sent to the old address... Will they still let my fiancé in without the 1-129f NOA2 approval since he has the other approval notices??

Please someone reply as soon as possible because I'm going to start freaking out soon in case I don't receive it by the time we leave for the interview. I have already given him all the other documents... Luckily, he lives in Tijuana Mexico and I in California so we are able to see each other and I am able to get the documents to him on time but I still want to know what occurs if I don't take that document....

You don't need the NOA2 letter for the interview for the K1 visa. However, you will need it when you file for AOS so don't worry about the interview, but chase them up to send another one so that you have it when you need it.

Hi, thanks for the response!

Phew! I was really worried. I am aware about needing it for the AOS but I know that I will have it by then according to that last e-mail they sent me. Hopefully, I'll have it in hand before we leave for the interview as well. Thank you!
