What is disturbing about the photo is that high school age kids have ready access to guns. Why haven't their parents locked up the guns? Secondly, these kids thinking that this was even remotely a good idea shows how poorly parented they are/were. Thirdly, all labels do is separate people and cause disharmony. Everyone here should not subscribe to labeling anything due to the fact that we all chose a foreign spouse/fiance. We are all americans that all have to pay taxes, register our cars, vote

I think we established long ago on VJ that it's less important to comment on the social appropriateness of whether it's ok for school students to pose with guns next to a flag synonymous with racism than it is to correctly identify the technical name for the guns in the photo.

Can you imagine if every conversation about the 9/11 attacks had to be preceded by discussing the minute details of the exact model of the planes, their top speed and how many engines they had.
