Self-employed joint sponsor and I-864, are schedule C and 1040 enough?

I'm submitting my AOS application as marriage to USC. We have my father in law cosigned as my hubby is unemployed now. My father in law is self-employed and I wonder if anyone had experience submitting I-864 as self-employed? Can I submit only Schedule C and 1040 for 3 years is that enough or I have to submit all tax schedules??? From my research, look like the number from Schedule C is the most important one, so why do we need to submit other schedules?

Also, can I use last year tax return number (total income) to prove current income? That's when I called in the tire-2 customer service told me use the total income of last year (2014) to prove current income if the joint-sponsor is self-employed, but I still feel a bit doubtful about that.

Best thing to do is to get the tax transcript on IRS online.

If not possible, then I believe you need to submit complete tax filing,

and not partial forms.

Not everyone's filings includes all schedules. He may only have schedule C. Whatever schedules he filed for are the ones to be included.

Transcripts will have all his schedules included.

Yes, he can use his 2014 income as projected 2015 income. He can include contracts if he has any. I included my professional license,

bank statements showing deposits from the recent 12 months (April - April ) with my transcripts but that is optional.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'll ask him to try get tax transcript, hopefully he won't mind doing that.
