Am a Ugandan citizen and my fiancé a US citizen, he filed for a K1 visa in July 2013 but unfortunately my fiancé was once convicted of a crime in 2009. He recently received a notice of intent to denial unless he gives evidence of having no risk to the beneficially. However may fiancé has no evidence to give, he is disappointed and at the edge of giving up. What should I do?

If his crime falls into Adam Walsh Act, hire a good lawyer with experience in cases like that and have lots of patience. It will pennant taller for him to move to Uganda at this point.

Even with a lawyer, it it was a AWA crime, you have a better chance of it snowing on the Sun, than you do having a K-1 approved. But miracles HAVE happened. A recent poster got his K-1 approved after years of patience and legal battles.
