You both need to write letters of intent and they have to have original signatures. You will need a copy of his birth certificates. Chats that spread the length of your relationship. Photo copy all pages of your passport that have stamps. Any cards or letters to each other. Getting him here from Ghana by December, I would not bank on it.

Ghana is a really difficult embassy. The chances of him getting the visa by December are alost non existant.

Do you have red flags (difference in age, religion, education, social status)? How long did you guys actually spent together?

well his application for a tourist visa while you're in K1 process shouldn't affect his K1. There is high possibility that he will be denied the tourist visa just becuse it's Ghana...in the country statistically with one of the biggest visa frauds in he world the CO are insane.

But what about your state, you've never mentioned your state here. If you are among the 25 states, that are processed in CSC then more likely he can be there by Sep - Oct

Honestly, if you decide to take a day or two to gather all the necessary things you need, as well as him being quick to mail you what you need, you could have your petition sent in within the next 2 weeks (depending on how you choose to receive the G-325A and intent to marry from him). Devote one whole day to printing out and gathering everything and assembling it all, tell him what you need and to get it done quickly and send it to you ASAP. You could have the whole package completed and waiting on him to send the documents you need.

To my knowledge, every I-129F petition is being routed to CSC and they are moving very quickly, so it shouldn't take long to get through the USCIS stage unless there are extenuating circumstances like criminal backgrounds.
