That is awful and totally unfair.

Whenever I see unusually long processing for I-129F,

they seemed to be stuck at security background checks.

Did you receive any RFE in that time?

Do you (US Citizen) have any criminal background?

Based on your travel history, life style, internet blogging, religious activities, money

transfer activities, etc., do you have any reason to believe that US government could have

your name in their "watch list" and thus could be scrutinizing your background more deeply?

I think it is best get your senator/congressman involved ASAP.

Hello All,

Just wanted to share our experience with applying for a K1 Visa (I-129F).

My Fiancé and I are now at 300 days and counting for an NOA2.

http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=days+since+July+3rd+2014

Received our NOA1 on July 3rd, 2014.

Received an email stating that a 'recent processing action has been taken on your case' on December 9th, 2014.

Filed a General Inquiry via phone with USCIS on February 17th, 2015. This inquiry still has not been assigned for processing as of today.

Emailed Texas Service Center 'TSC.NCSCfollowup@uscis.dhs.gov' on March 17th, 2015. Still no response to this email as of today.

Submitted an 'Outside Normal Processing Time' Online Case Inquiry on April 9th, 2015. This inquiry still has not been assigned for processing as of today.

Emailed USCIS Headquarters 'scopsscata@dhs.gov' on April 20th, 2015. Still no response to this email as of today.

Physically went to an InfoPass Appointment at the USCIS Center in Houston, Texas on April 24th, 2015. The officer said that "I see that you have been waiting for a while, but unfortunately your case is still pending." "There doesn't appear to be any negatives or red flags on your case." "There is a serious backlog." He could not provide any more information. He then said that he would send a message to the Texas Service Center regarding our case.

Only other options left to explore are contacting a Senator / Congressman or http://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance.

Very frustrated.

I think it's time to bring in the "big dogs" to get your case moving. Here is a great website with discussion how to go about contacting your Senator and the documents needed. You will get action.

I cannot imagine what you must be going through to have so many inquiries go unanswered. It's just shameful and disgusting to me that this goes on. Praying for all those in your situation..

Same here, just for the records - 11 months today waiting (for Adjustment of Status) and no call (to NCSC number or tier 2 transfer), no service request, no email ever brought any answer or result: everything is still pending and it will stay pending (despite the website dates progressing) until who knows when..the black hole metaphor is appropriate because your fees, paperwork and inquiries get in but nothing gets out.

Erminio

With me it was 14 months, having my congressman involved, an interview, an RFE handed at the interview (and she had the nerve to tell me she called me for an interview to hand me that RFE!). It can be worse.

I've noticed that a lot of people from the Middle East or those who've travelled to the Middle East seem to get extra security checks. Part of Patriot Act?! I know that doesn't help you in your case, just saying it's a pattern I've noticed here on VJ and maybe something you can use in your contact with them?

You should get your senator or congressman involved because that wait is way past any normal waiting time. Good luck! I hope you get NOA2 very very soon.

U.S policy has changed on immigration. Obama wants to take care of illegals first rather than the folks who are filing the legal way.

All this because so he can get votes and become a fad of a President.

Hello All,

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. My Fiancé and I wish for the same speedy resolution for those in our situation. We also feel sorry for those who have waited much longer.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. At least we feel that we are not alone, although we wish that no one have to go through this.

Thank you for the good advice. We will email the Ombudsman and also write to our Senator / Congressman.

I feel for you man, Mine took 9 months at CSC. I wish you would have contacted your Senator earlier. My Senator was able to get mine processed but it took a series of events lasting about 75 days. First they will need to put in a request, the USCIS then has 60 days to answer them. After the 60 days they will then be able to speak with an Acting Supervisor at your Service Center. Then you can expect another week or two for the Supervisor to make sure your petition is processed.

I hope you get approved soon, I feel your pain.
