My daughter ( 11 years old) just had an interview last Tuesday and here's the questions they asked her

What's your name? How old are you? Do you know where are you going? thats all.

They took the passport and other documents and said passport will be delivered to 2go SM .

They also asked my sister, why my daughter was left behind? ( she accompanied my daughter on her interview )

Those questions were just about what I said they would ask. I'm glad all things went smoothly for your daughter. I am sure she was scarred but I have this picture of a brave young girl, following her mothers instructions. Good luck to her and safe travels.

There is no authorization needed, but a related family member is best in your situation. They would be better to explain your absence which really is no big deal. It goes on all the time.

Will your daughter fly alone which is not a good idea. Who will go and get her. No one from your family can fly with her without a visa so that is out of the question. mmmmm :(

My daughter will be picked up by my husband ( her step dad & the petitioner ) I cannot leave from work because I just got my permanent job here in the USA. I will just have all the authorization and necessary documents, by the way thanks Greenbaum for all the advice! It's a big help for us!

i already did searched for some possible post related to my question but for some reason it wont open the page

The child was asked if the mother and child still lived with their biological father.

The child said yes.

The mother and child were immediately disqualified for not having a bona fide relationship with the petitioner.

They are not going to ask her too many questions. They will be simple (what is your name, who is with you today, who is your mother/stepfather, where do they live etc.) and most K2's who come before the CO are approved, of course as long as your paperwork is in order and truthful.

Authorization letter depends if they will be traveling alone or with someone. If traveling alone they need paperwork from DSW if family member like your husband then no authorization is needed but ID's and other documents are needed.

This topic was just discussed so more information can be found on this thread http://www.visajourn...p-son-petition/

Traveling with Children. All children, including infants, must have their own passport or Trusted Traveler Program for U.S. entry. Carry documents for traveling with minor children.

• If you are escorting a minor child without the parents, have a letter from both parents indicating that you have permission to travel with the minor.

• If the child is accompanied by only one parent, the parent should have a note from the child's other parent. For example, "I acknowledge that my wife/ husband is traveling out of the country with my son/ daughter. He/She/ has my permission to do so."

If a single parent has sole custody, a copy of the court custody document can replace a letter from the other parent.

NP. Good luck. Just a little more information:

A non-Philippines-related post has been split from this thread, moved to the Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America forum (= a guess), and given this topic title: "What Questions Will Son Be Asked? [split topic]."

VJ Moderation

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
