We have received the 10-year card, what do we need to do next?

I know she needs to start working on Naturalization... But in the meantime:

1. Does she need to go to the Social Security Administration to make any updates there?

2. What kind of passport does she need to travel, now (American or Filipino)? We do plan to travel next year, and I think her Filipino passport may be expired or expiring before then.

3. Does she still need the work-authorization card?

1. She doesn't need to go to the social security office but if she wants to receive an updated SS card she can do so, it's not mandatory.

2. To travel she will need her Filipino passport and her green card as well as any visa required depending on the country you are visiting. She cannot get an American passport because she is not an American citizen.

3. She doesn't need an EAD anymore the green card is her work authorization document now.

2. Any passport will do but first she needs citizenship to get the US passport.

3. The EAD card was no longer needed when she first received her 2-yr GC.

So we now need to figure out how to renew a Philippines passport, from here. Yay!

Your wife can renew her passport through the Philippines Consulate which has jurisdiction over where you live. I see from your profile that you live in Texas, so you would use the Philippines Consulate - Los Angeles.

She can either go to the Los Angeles Consulate in person, or she can go to one of the Consulate's outreach events. The Consulate has four more outreach events in Texas this year, two in Houston and two in Dallas. Check out their web site.

Also, you and your wife will need to file a "Report of Marraige" with the Consulate in order for her to renew her passport. That can be done in advance, or it can be done at the same time she renews her passport. Again, check out their web site.
