Hello VJ'members, here is our situation! I petitioner US citizen recently lost my job, my husband will be attending his CR1 visa interview next month, I just got a new job which I will resume into after my husband's interview. My questions are; Do I need to send my husband a job letter of my new job? What to present or do in case the consular officer ask my husband questions regarding to my job?

I will appreciate each and everyone who can share their experience. Thanks in advance.

Your husband needs an updated i-864. I suggest an employer letter and think about a joint sponsor.

Simply depends on the income of the new job. I will suggest you send a copy of a job offer letter and support it with your tax returns and bank statement. The whole idea is to show to the CO if they ask, your spouse will not seek government assistance of any kind.

I agree with the comments above. Similar situation with me (got let go while case was at NVC and hired by another company). I had to provided my 2014 tax returns paper, letter of employment from new employer and had to adjust my I-864 (my new employer and 2014 tax sections). I as also added a sponsor from the same household (I-864a) just to be safe.

I was told my wife should bring the updated I-854 and my tax paper to the interview.
