I just returned from Phils trip last week and found Skyscanner and Vayama seemed to have the best prices. Both sites will let you sign up for email price change alerts.

I agree with trying PAL. I was in a rush to come home a couple of months ago due to a family emergency and they had the cheapest airfare. Just try not to expect much with the in-flight entertainment that you usually get with other airlines. :hehe:

Any suggestions where you can get a cheap plane ticket for june? Thanks

Try asaptickets.com. They are a ticket consolidator and many times they can save you a lot of money. Use them to compare from other ticketing sites you have visited.

Ask for Sage (A nice guy to deal with & delightful):

Through data combed by Kayak, they have found that if you book 5 months ahead and travel on a Wednesday you will find the best prices for travel to Asia. Of course you can't use that bit of information when you don't know when you are getting your visa, but just for thought.

Other sites to check for fares:

https://www.google.com/flights/

http://www.kayak.com/

http://www.skyscanner.com/

http://www.seatguru.com/

https://www.hipmunk.com/

These are the people who write the software for most major air carriers that use for their reservation systems.

http://matrix.itasoftware.com/

I often use the ITA Software Matrix, which is one of the most useful tools to search for available flights and low fares. ITA Matrix is awesome, in that you can type in all kinds of commands like which airline you want to fly, certain dates, specific airports and whether you will change airports to get a better price. After you click “Search” you will be taken to a calendar displaying the lowest fare departing each day. Clicking on a particular date will bring up the lowest prices departing on that date.

Unfortunately the ITA Matrix is only for finding airfares. You don’t have the ability to book directly through this site. Write down the dates and flight numbers that work for you, and book directly through the airline site or online travel agency you prefer. I hope this helps.

For advance instructions in using ITA go here for a great article: http://travelcodex.com/2012/01/advanced-routing-language-in-ita/

PAL only has very limited flight to US Cities.

We have about 100 plus Interntional Airports in USA, I think PAL goes to about 3 of them..

I just booked two from GRR to HKG

End of May $1175

End of June $1640

It was cheaper on that route to book GRR - DFW- HKG and then buy a $90 RT from HKG to MNL

June July and August is summer vacation and flights always tend to be at a higher cost

Did you try Delta.

I have flown them my last 6 trips and from Dallas to Manila I have ranged about $785 to $1070. I usually fly Feb or October.

I stick with One World carriers because of my FF status it makes life a bit more comfortable on those flights (Lounge access, upgrades, etc...) .

Sitting on 610,000 FF miles and the June trip was lined up to match with the wife's Award miles ticket.

I bought my tickets in February RT from LAX-MNL for $1500 for June flights. I usually use Expedia or Cheaptickets.com when I buy tickets. Cheaptickets allows you to look at pretty much all the carriers that fly that route and can give you pretty decent prices.

You didn't say how long you will spend in the Phil, or your exact dates and if that was for only one person or two but I did a quick search on one of my recommendations for travel sites itasoftware.com and was able to get a round trip ticket in June for 15 day stay for one person for $691. Again your mileage may vary.
