If you are eligible for DCF

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Why is it quicker if we live together overseas??

Cases from overseas are currently auto-expedited (USCIS approval).

Maybe they want USC to come back and start paying taxes...who knows why...:)

***Moved from Progress Reports to Process & Procedures.***

**Moderator hat off**

A word on the auto-expedite queue that has been referred to in this thread:

If a petitioner lives abroad in a country where DCF is not available, then there is a good chance that their petition will automatically be expedited once received. However, there is no guarantee that this will happen and USCIS officially denies this queue exists.

I thought it was only the Filipines that got expedited?? Is it everyone now? That would be so awesome!

If the US citizen is living abroad, they tend to auto expedite the case. I assume because that means the US citizen can move back home faster, which is fair.

The Philipinnes is auto-expedited when the beneficiary is from there, it has nothing to do with the US citizen. Philipinnes get auto-expedited because they had a typhoon or something, like 2 or 3 yeas ago. I have no idea why this is, since so many other countries have natural disasters or are just plain dangerous without getting auto-expedited, but that's just the way it is.

As Ryan H said, there is a good chance that the USA children would make a difference, and speed things up. to me, it would make a big difference.

I hope all is reunited soon, as a happy family.

Good luck on your journey, and keep us posted, a unique situation.

Having children who are US Citizens does not speed the process. If that was the case then most all cases would be in high gear!

It was quicker for us (we filed from Mexico) than for the people who filed from USA. We got approved in a week and there are some people in USA still waiting to get approved since October. That's crazy.
