K2 for niece

My Egyptian fiance has a niece and I wasnt aware until yesterday that he is her primary caretaker since her mother has been exiled and her father is estranged living somewhere in the U.S. Where my fiance lives, there are no real records of guardianship so he is unofficially the child's father. We filed for K1 a few weeks ago but now he wants to include this 5 yr old after the fact. Any advice?

Probably not possible since he has no official records of adoption or guardianship.

I was thinking the same thing. I told him he needs to go see a family social worker first be he doesn't like to deal with it. He thinks the child will be sent off to a girls home if he draws attention to the situation.

That is a great option but Im afraid I feel differently about my situation with my fiance because he did not tell me about this child until yesterday. I knew that she existed but I did not know that he was playing father to this girl. Her father is here in the United States and he does not send money home to Egypt for her. I am now starting to think that this thing is going to unravel soon. I am almost beginning to change my mind on this entire process. I guess I will give it some thought and maybe some prayers and hopefully I will come to the right decision soon.

Why not ask the girl's father to petition her to the US if he's already here?

*I am the (female) petitioner, my husband  is an Australian citizen *

Begs the question, what else don't you know. What else has he failed to mention to you.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

I am sorry to say this and hopefully no one will take offense but he is literally the scum of the earth. He is an abusive person, he is a liar, and he has totally neglected this child for over a year. I wouldn't ask him to petition a cockroach at this point.

that is for another post and actually I did start another post about this. I am starting to have a change of heart. thank you

The guy who married your sister?

She could petition for her stepdaughter.

Have you the mother's contact details?

You need to step back and think about the whole situation. What are the chances of himself and the girl coming here only to run off and be with his uncle (?) who was with your sister at one point. There are so many strange things with your situation.....if you had a friend with this story and it wasn't you, what advice would you give them?
