Submitting all documents to the NVC before the IV fee showing paid

So, I paid the IV fee 5 days ago. Its status showed 'PAID' in the CEAC website 3 days ago but the DS 260 form has showed up yet. I called the NVC and they told me to wait for about 4 more days for the system to catch up... (so 1 week in total after the iv fee status showed 'PAID').

I am kinda worry because I already sent all my documents to the NVC right after I paid the fee online. What if they received them before I complete the DS 260 form?

I have attached a screenshot of my case status below.

Thank you for any help.

Why don't you complete DS-261 too and hopefully the sticky point might roll by to DS-260 too? I have seen people getting checklist for IV bill but yours is DS-260 which I am almost positive is part of the Case Complete process. I am surprised you were able to pay IV before you were done with DS-261 because it ties it up until its reviewed.

Oh, I am sorry, I forgot to explain about that. My DS-261 is showing incomplete because I mistakenly clicked to review. The NVC told me that it would be fine since they already received and reviewed my DS-261 (that's why I can pay the IV fee).

How long ago did you send in the aos and Iv packets?

It should be ok if you paid the iv fee you will be able to do the ds-260 fotm soon

even if you receive a checklist it will be case complete after you fill out the ds-260.

Thank you for all the replies, I am feeling less worried now . Wow, I noticed that you sent in all the documents just four days after you submitted DS-261 Jerry. I did not know that we can do that.

I am having the same problem. I also clicked the complete link to see the form and it changed to incomplete. NVC says it doesn't matter since its already finished. Its been 6 days since I paid the IV bill. Why is the website not generating the application form? NVC keeps saying to wait a few more days. Did anyone else wait? How long?

I just callled the NVC today. They told me to wait at least one week after the IV fee has been processed (status 'PAID') in order for the DS-260 form to show up. And the incomplete IV bill will not effect anything since it has already been review.

Have you heard any updates? This is taking ridiculously long for me. It has been 11 days since my IV fee's status showed a PAID status and yet, no DS-260! On the other side, I just got an email from the NVC saying that they have received my submitted documents.

My husband called many times and asked about the agent choice form and whether or not it would stop the IV application from becoming available and they continuously said no. However, after speaking to them one last time about it, they advised that the application will be available after 24 - 48 hours. It updated the same day he had that conversation and then the agent choice form was changed to complete at the same time that the form was updated for us. Its hard for me to pinpoint exactly why the form was updated for us, if it was because of the choice of agent form being changed to show complete once again, or if it was just calling so many times the agent fixed it, or maybe it was already being processed automatically through the website management and the phone agent was only confirming what was already taking place. My husband says it seemed like it was already happening without his input and he was just given the time frame as general info. I wish I could be more helpful! Some people on here are saying they had to wait 3 weeks. Maybe all the calls did help us?

Likely a supervisor got on the job.

If the DS-260 is not available 1 week after paying the IV invoice (it shows paid) then contact the NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor.

I called the NVC today, a few first representatives just kept telling me that I am doing something wrong and they couldn't help me with anything. Then, there was another representative telling me to just submit the DS-261 form again, I did that and now I am able to see the form DS-260 form... I hope that submitting the DS-261 won't affect anything though.

Thank you everyone so much for all the replies! :)

It obviously helped since you already paid the IV invoice.

YES I agree! My husband called again yesterday to ask about what documents are required at the interview to support the AOS that we sent to the NVC, and overnight I see we have the "3 N/A's" everyone talks about. AOS fee status changed from PAID to N/A, the documents for AOS is N/A, and the documents for IV application is N/A. Is this case complete?? post-166659-0-38834500-1430785197_thumb.jpg
