Hi all - I have a quick question about police records. I am working to get records now and want to be sure I'm asking for what is required. I have been told the specific country will send a physical copy as well as an electronic version. Do records have to be certified or do copies suffice? When I request the records, I want to be sure I specify what I need. Thanks in advance!

Wow that's great!

I had been looking for a page like this for a while. I have lived in a half dozen countries and I had no idea how to proceed to get an Indonesian police certificate. Through google searches I had landed on a similar page but that was from the Canadian government. It gave instructions on how to get an Indonesian police certificate (which documents to gather, apply to local Indonesian embassy), but it turned out the Indonesian embassy in France said they wont issue police certificates to non Indonesian citizens.

I really didn't know how to do. Flying there just to get that paper seemed expensive, going through an Indonesian lawyer firm not reliable.

That State Department website says it's not needed for Indonesia! Yay!

Thanks for the link.
