Is DS-260 needed for K-1 interview?

Is DS-260 needed in addition to DS-160 for K-1 Visa Interview at consulate?

I have the DS-160 confirmation.

The Package 4 from the consulate (Mumbai,India) states DS-160 confirmation is needed,

but other places/sites say have both DS-160 and DS-260

Can anyone confirm that indeed DS-260 is not needed?

I can't confirm but my understanding is the K-1 Visa is a Nonimmigrant Visa so only the DS-160 applies.

The DS-260 is for a different visa "Immigrant Visat" such as IR1/CR1 filers.

That makes sense, knowing that K-1 is considered as "Non-Immigrant" in some categories (DS-160) and immigrant in others (DS-260). DS-160 only also is consistent with the Package 4 for the consulate where the interview is so I'll just go with that.

Guess it was one of those situations where you read-up too much and "know enough to be dangerous"
