No decision or receive anything after well interview!

Hi guys! Some update here:

We got an infopass appointment and went in today. The infopass officer was very nice and friendly. He said the fact that the interview was short is a good sign, but probably a supervisor should review our case and make a decision which may take 30-90 days! He said we should check in again if do not hear back anything within a month... :clock:

fingers crossed...

Wow, what a disappointment that must have been for you. I'm so sorry that the infopass didn't really deliver new and useful information. I've read other infopass experiences here on VJ, and it seems like that is usually how it goes though. The people "helping" you at the infopass really does not know more than you do. I can understand how you feel, hang in there.

It is very frustrating... He mentioned that the average time frame is about 6 months so we should hear sth soon... but he also said that we may want to apply for AP if we need to travel because originally I had not applied for it...

Please keep me updated if you here anything back :clock:

That's a gamble. It took 100 days for my EAD/AP to get approved. Of course some got theirs in a month or two, so it's just the luck of the draw in a way.

I will post here when I hear something. I would like to hear an update from you too. Good luck with the wait!

From your timeline it looks like your case is going on 8 months now right?

Right, we had our interview exactly 8 months after submitting our paperwork. The processing time discrepancies just blows my mind.

Exactly 3 weeks and no news yet..... :clock:

All of our summer travel plans are on hold... very frustrating!

I feel your pain about the travel plans. We have been planning our visit to South Africa for June since last year. My family super excited. Now it most likely is not going to happen. So stupid. Hang in there.
