I think my wife is cheating on me.

Hello, I am very sad at the moment. I have my embassy interview for my visa next week. We, my wife and I have been going together for a year. She met me online and I went to the US to meet with her. We fell in love and got married. I had to come home for work which I did and we filed for spouse visa. Now I think she is seeing someone else. Someone I know and trust who lives in the same area as her has seen her together with another man, they were kissing and not in a friendly way either. She has become cold the last month or so and answers my questions very brief - unlike when we meet. What must I do now? I still want to go to the US and see her, maybe we can work this out. I'm just confused.

Sorry this is happening. You can still visit the US with your CR1/IR1 in process. Sounds like you guys need to talk and get to the bottom of everything before you uproot your life to move here for her.

Thanks but my interview is next week so... my option to see her is to get my visa then go. I speak to her over the phone and email and she doesn't tell me not to come anymore. I even ask what is wrong and she just say she is busy with work.

Nobody here can answer this question for you. It's a big decision that you will need to think hard about and make on your own.

Listen to your heart.

The total amount of days from the date I mailed in our K1 Visa application to the day my fiancé stepped foot into the USA:

1 year, 3 months and 8 days.

The amount of days from the date we mailed in our AOS to the date everything was approved (after 3 RFEs):

7 months & 5 days

Which makes our journey a total of:

2 years, 3 months, and 8 days

(L)"I remember the days I prayed for everything I have now." (L)

This!

You can always call the embassy to postpone your interview while you sort things out with your wife. It's a huge, life-changing decision.

How much do you trust the person who told you they saw her?

I don't know if I would trust gossip. You wouldn't be the first person where someone has made up lies about the other spouse to mess up immigration.

Has your wife gave you any hints that something is up? What has she said about your upcoming interview, and move to the US?

Is talking to her upfront a possibility? If not, I think you should not have married in the first place. There is no beating around the bushes with something like this.

I wish you clarity in your mind and peace in your soul.

Sorry to see that happening to you but that question is really hard to be answered as it depends on many factors ,

are you sure that your wife is cheating on you as it could be something made up by your friend ( you never know man ) .

lets say you really trust your friend , if that the case i would pay her an unplanned visit and ensure that she is cheating .

as long as you your CR1/IR1 in process you can visit USA.

I know its lot of work need to be done to get the visa but it really worth it , you dont want to get married with a cheater and the same time you dont want to take a wrong decision based on what your friend told you.

bon chance , good luck

Thanks everyone for your opinions, I am going to think about this over the next few days and make a decision. Right now I just want to sit down face to face with her and talk. Maybe I will delay the interview and go on a quick visit.
