All, I signed up to see if there was any scamming tricks people were talking about so I could look for them. I don't have a need to know the other forms so I couldn't even check. Breach of contract? I don't see how without giving out info.

I don't know how many cases of fraud you'll find here. VJ is very serious about not allowing that here.

207 days? Amateur.. ;) 331 days under my belt and the last Immigration officer I spoke with told me my case hasn't been assigned yet.

. And that's for what visa? Tried looking on ure time line but it's not linked. That surely doesn't sound good at all. Got a attorney to try and find out or something? Well just speaking for if its the same application as we are busy with... Fiance visa? Don't know much about the rest though.

Not assigned after a year? No there's something wrong alright.

His is for an I-485. Meaning he is stateside. These delays are pretty common as well - but at least he can be with his loved ones.

So far, I have only seen one case for K1 go beyond 300d for NOA-2, and I really hope it stays that way.

Yup, employment based Adjustment of Status - my company does use an immigration attorney, but his educated take was that basically you can only wait. Being stubborn (and inexperienced) I called NCSC several times before and after also filing a Service Request, but I've only been told every time "the processing center is a little behind, give it a couple more weeks". Got transferred to Immigration officers the last two times - they acknowledged that my AoS request (and my Service Request) were behind expected processing times but they told me they could take no action to get either paperwork back on track.

So I think TSC is massively backlogged (compared to other Processing Centers) hence you wait much more (got plenty of colleagues who got their AoS approved in 5 to 8 months from other centers) - yes, not fair considering you paid the same fees than others ending up with less busy centers, but I've read that only recently USCIS acknowledged the need to balance the workload among the centers, so hugely different wait times are hardly a surprise..

Thank goodness it's not a k1 visa apication wow! Pheeeew relief* if I knew we'd wait so long I'd have gotten the kids visitors visa also before we applied for the k1 so that we can go over in the meantime but we won't get that approved now. Just praying to get good news soon.

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm not overly worried about AOS (not that I don't understand the frustration with the backlog and uneven processing times. it's awful too). I mostly just want to be able to stop paying for two houses in two countries and get to chance to see my partner more than once every 100 or so days (at $500 a pop). His green card, while important, is a far second to the ability to see each other and get to start our lives in the States.

Marriage/ AOS Timeline:

23 Dec 2015: Legal marriage

23 Jan 2016: Wedding!

23 Jan 2016: "Blizzard of the Century", wedding canceled/rescheduled (thank goodness we were legally married first or we'd have had a big problem!) :sleepy:

24 Jan 2016: Small "civil ceremony" with friends and family who were snowed in with us. December was a bit of a secret and people had traveled internationally and knew we *had* to get married that weekend, and our December legal marriage was nothing but signing a piece of paper at our priest's kitchen table, without any sort of vows etc so this was actually a very special (if not legally significant) day. (L)

16 Apr 2016: Filed for AOS and EAD/AP (We delayed a bit-- no big rush, enjoying the USCIS break)

23 Apr 2016: Wedding! Finally! :luv:

27 Apr 2016: Electronic NOA1 for all 3 :dancing:
29 Apr 2016: NOA1 Hardcopy for all 3
29 Jul 2016: Online service request for late EAD (Day 104)
29 Jul 2016: EAD/AP Approved ~3 hours after online service request
04 Aug 2016: RFE for Green Card (requested medicals/ vaccination record. They already have it). :ranting:
05 Aug 2016: EAD/AP Combo Card arrived! (Day 111)
08 Aug 2016: Congressional constituent request to get guidance on the RFE. Hoping they see they have the form and approve!

K-1 Visa Timeline:

PLEASE NOTE. This timeline was during the period of time when TSC was working on I-129fs and had a huge backlog. The average processing time was 210+ days. This is in no way predictive of your own timeline if you filed during or after April 2015, unless CSC develops a backlog. A backlog is anything above the 5-month goal time listed on USCIS's site

14 Feb 2015: Mailed I-129f to Dallas Lockbox. (L) (Most expensive Valentine's card I've ever sent!)

17 Feb 2015: NOA1 "Received Date"
19 Feb 2015: NOA1 Notice Date
08 Aug 2015: NOA2 email! :luv: (173 days from NOA1)

17 Aug 2015: Sent to NVC

?? Aug 2015: Arrived at NVC

25 Aug 2015: NVC Case # Assigned

31 Aug 2015: Left NVC for Consulate in San Jose

09 Sep 2015: Consulate received :dancing: (32 days from NOA2)

11 Sep 2015: Packet 3 emailed from embassy to me, the petitioner (34 days from NOA2).

18 Sep 2015: Medicals complete

21 Sep 2015: Packet 3 complete, my boss puts a temporary moratorium on all time off due to work emergency :clock:

02 Oct 2015: Work emergency clears up, interview scheduled (soonest available was 5 business days away--Columbus Day was in there)

13 Oct 2015: Interview

13 Oct 2015: VISA APPROVED :thumbs: (236 days from NOA1)

19 Oct 2015: Visa-in-hand

24 Oct 2015: POE !

15 Dec 2015: Fiance's mother's B-2 visa interview: APPROVED! So happy she will be at the wedding! :thumbs:

Mmm..I kind of care about my Green Card ;) ...after all I have been legally living and working in the States for so long that it would be nice to be finally a resident...but I can definitely empathize with you and agree that K-1ers situation is worse than mine. Good luck!

Speaking of the "workload balancing" (that, I understand, translates in new requests no longer sent to TSC), does it look like it actually offloaded TSC and resulted in more requests answered?

Oh let's not start with the cost! One return ticket without thinking about taking our kids with cost us about 2300$. So yes the money and like u said having to pay double rent and so forth is not funny at all! Green card il wait for patiently but 200 plus days and that's just since starting the actual process is torture in my eyes!

Same here. 206 days and counting! I feel terrible for people like me that will have kids. Especially if they miss the new school year :angry:

that's one major worry for me. My daughters suppose to be in grade one and my son he's actually on the autism spectrum so I so hope this all can be over and done with soon. They couldn't be enrolled here at all since we're busy with the move over. And then there's them just not understanding why thy can't see theire daddy. Not easy at all to explain. To a six and eight year old.
