Ive been on CC since April 1st - takes the piss I know - but still don't have my interview scheduled. Do you have to wait to you have ur interview scheduled before booking into the medical centre?

My concern would be that if they haven't received my file yet from the NVC what will the embassy do with my medical records and could they get lost?

You shouldn't take your medical until your case is listed as 'ready' at the embassy. Otherwise, they won't have a case file to put your results in. You won't receive an interview until they have your medical results.

Thanks for the response Chris, but I think you may have contradicted yourself. My case wouldn't be sent from the NVC to the embassy unless I have had an interview scheduled. And my case wouldn't be listed as 'ready' unless the NVC has sent my case?

The UK embassy is not like other i believe, The NVC do not schedule the interviews for London so they send after CC, embassy receives and sends out instructions for medical etc.

I'd book it anyway but for mid May to be safe.

Chris gave you a K1 visa answer. Your process is different.

They ask for your LND number when you call for a medical appointment, so if you have that then nothing is stopping you from making the appointment. Make sure you have gotten all your required immunizations and list from your GP before the medical. Sometime people find they have to wait weeks before they can get those records.

Your concern about medical file being lost if the case is not there yet is a possibility but I doubt they throw it away...as in really lost forever.

Ah, I didn't see you were on a different visa. Pay no attention to my answer!
