Hi All,

Here is the dilemma,

I have already received my GC, however, because my EAD/AP card was due to expire I submitted for renewal before I received my GC about a week later.

Today is my appointment for biometrics. I called USCIS about this and I was told to submit a letter to the address on my I-797 receipt for the EAD application stating I have already received my GC and do not want to continue with my application for EAD.

On the appointment notice it states that If i do not attend the appointment the case is considered abandoned.

If I do not attend the appointment and my case for EAD is abandoned will it affect my LPR status in any way???

Thanks for any responses for this??

Ian

No. You have a greencard. You no longer need EAD so abandoning that application doesn't matter.
