Walk in or reschedule biometrics?

My husband's biometric appointment conflicts with travel plans. He tried to walk-in today (NJ) and was turned away since this is not an emergency. He was told to reschedule the appointment. Is there any point in trying another location that others have had success walking in, or does it just cause confusion to show up at a completely different facility than you were assigned? For example, I see that others have been successful in Philadelphia. Just wondering if we should try there before sending in for a new appointment.

Thanks!

I would try a walk in at another location. I went to my local uscis location. I told them I was in the area and didn't want to take another day off work (I was dressed in nice clothes). Sometimes when you look like a bum you may get treated like a bum. But if you look professional you will get treated like a professional. The security guard called the supervisor and we got in. I would go later in the day when they are likely to be less busy. The supervisor said they schedule 30 people per hour. I had read other reviews about my location and read of a security guard that was particularly unhelpful. So I timed my visit for lunch time and got there when he was not there. I saw the unhelpful guard described in others post on our way out. :) mission accomplished.

Yes try at different location. Heck even try at the same original location again. Rescheduling anything to do with USCIS is a PIA. FYI I did succeed at different location second time.

I did a walk in for my biometrics. Security didn't even ask me why I am walking in. I went in the morning and security told me to come back in the afternoon coz they were busy. I came back after lunch and I was done in less than 30 minutes.

Check the hours of operation of the biometric location and go in about an hour or two before they close. I feel like they are more accommodating when it is not busy anymore.
