K-1 Riyadh Embassy - Interview date?!

2 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

i shouldn't be asking this but the waiting for an interview date has shaken my confidence entirely..

as far as I know, the steps for my case has gone smoothly..

submitted I-129F,

case approved,

went to NVC,

NVC sent our case to the Riyadh Embassy,

Riyadh Embassy emailed us case number and K-1 packet to complete, etc

- we completed all necessary steps and submitted it to embassy and are now awaiting for the interview

4 weeks have passed :( and this is why my thoughts and confidence are all chaotic now

i keep reading/etc.. DOES THE NVC ASSIGN OUR INTERVIEW DATE?! I thought the entire purpose for K-1 applications was for the NVC to forward our case to the Local Embassy where we then proceed to follow all steps (pay visa fee, medical, police clearances, etc etc)

sigh.. i guess i'm hoping other saudi arabian embassy filers can reply here.. K-1 specifically

do we have to go back and do anything to the NVC?!

--my mind is a mess

Hi Charlie,

I think you'll need to contact the embassy via email to check on the status, as mentioned in the link below.

http://riyadh.usembassy.gov/k1packet.html

Lots of conflicting information on the embassy's website.

For cases filed in the United States: The National Visa Center (NVC) sends the appointment letter.

Once the beneficiary has received the appointment letter--and no sooner--he/she may proceed with the medical exam. Any other immigration services requiring appointments can be made by writing to RiyadhIV@state.gov.

EMAIL them!
