Hi fellow Visa journey members,

Recently I am approved for my citizenship and I filed I-130 for my wife when I was a LPR. I am wondering how do I upgrade my petition I-130 for my wife? What is the best and safest way to upgrade it? In order not to confuse the USCIS and delay my process. Please advise! What do I need? Call them and tell them I am a Citizen now? Send a copy of my cert? if Yes To where? address??

Joel

hi

if the i130 hasn't been approved you will have to wait until it is approved and sent to the NVC stage, when you get the case number you can email them to upgrade your status

Have you taken your oath yet ? If you haven't you aren't a citizen. You will need to send a copy of your naturalization certificate to upgrade.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
